Have you ever looked around your apartment and an ordinary household object catches your eye? All of a sudden you're no longer alone. You're in the midst of a memory with a past lover. The spare keys you made for her. The remote controls that he'd perfectly organize because of his OCD — a trait you've now picked up. You'd think you'd be safe in your own home. You'd think the ghost of a past lover would only sneak up on you at places you two used to call yours.
I Used To Love Us is a pop-up gallery exhibit, curated by ILY, showcasing the work of nine artists. Each artist has created a piece based on household items that remind them of their ex-lovers to show how even in safe spaces you can still be haunted by their ghost.
